The GDPR. Never have so many people been so keen to offer their guidance on something that they don’t actually understand.
Over the last 12 months we’ve watched in horror as one marketing agency after another has perpetuated several myths about the impact of this regulation on businesses that market their products and services to schools. During that time, we’ve largely kept our counsel while we…
1. Studied every single word (all 129,128 of them) in meticulous detail.
2. Carried out our own impact assessments, balancing tests, and reviewed our processes.
3. Got everything approved from the UK’s leading legal firm when it comes to the GDPR.
Now, only with that seal of approval from the UK’s leading legal experts on the GDPR in our hands, have we felt it appropriate to release our definitive guidance on the matter.
You can find out exactly what actions we have taken to comply with the GDPR, and what your business needs to do in order to comply, by downloading our new whitepaper below.
Download our whitepaper: Find out how to comply with the GDPR
Unlike other blog articles and reports that you may have received from other agencies, this whitepaper is not a cynical attempt to use the GDPR to our own advantage (it’s a sad reality that many agencies are using the GDPR to scare people into using their services). Instead this report simply sets out exactly what you need to do in order to comply with the GDPR.
We have already implemented the actions outlined in this report and have had them given the official seal of approval by the UK’s leading GDPR experts. So, you can rest assured that we are not advising you to do anything that we are not already 100% certain is industry best practice.
My advice is to read our whitepaper. Then, if you want to see the impact assessments, balancing tests, and internal policies that we have had approved from the experts, just email me at guy@sprint-education.co.uk and I’ll be very happy to send you copies (after you have signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement of course).
And my final piece of advice: don’t be scared of the GDPR. It’s actually a very sensible piece of legislation that will make our industry much stronger. Many of the key aspects of the GDPR reinforce improvements that we have been advocating for many years. If you truly understand the GDPR then you will be able to use it as a springboard to improve the effectiveness of your marketing to schools and grow your education business.
