Change 2: Budgets on the up!
At the end of 2012 the government announced further cuts to the public sector. However, the education sector avoided the cuts and will now receive a large injection of cash during 2013.
The total education budget will increase by £5.5 billion, from £91.7 billion in 2012 to a projected £97.2 billion in 2013.
Change 3: Big data
Big data has been mentioned around marketing forums quite a bit recently. It’s all about using your understanding of your customers and applying a more focused approach when contacting them. The Education Database can offer multiple data fields to help you achieve this. Gone are the days of simply personalising a letter or email with a teacher’s name. If you want to stand out and seize their attention make your content as personal and relevant to each individual teacher as possible.
Change 4: Super powered emails
Email will continue to be the most popular channel for marketing to schools but it will shift away from the “batch and blast” method seen in previous years and instead, focus on the big data philosophy of utilising sophisticated data fields to create more personalised, relevant and targeted email content. When we send emails for our clients we implement progressive personalisation and segmentation techniques to the campaigns taken from the 2 million plus data records within our Education Database.
Over the next few days I will be updating changes 5-10.
